About
Welcome to Stories on High, a culinary gem nestled on the 28th floor of the Hilton in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Located at 404 N High St, this rooftop destination offers not just a meal but an immersive dining experience with breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline.
As you step inside, you're greeted by a vibrant blend of Japanese and Korean cuisine, artfully presented in the form of tapas. The menu is a true testament to creativity, featuring delights such as Robata Skewers - the miso-glazed asparagus and sumptuous tiger shrimp are must-tries. Meanwhile, the duck skewer, adorned with orange hoisin sauce and corn flakes, sings a delightful melody of flavors that will linger on your palate for days.
The cold appetizers are equally compelling. Indulge in the fresh Hamachi Ceviche or the artful Salmon Tartar served in crispy taquitos—each bite bursting with vibrant flavors and textures. Not to mention, the Smashed Avocado with pork belly bites is a harmonious balance of rich and crunchy elements, making it a highlight of the menu.
For those looking to elevate their dining experience, their crafted non-alcoholic cocktails, such as the Retired Cobbler, deliver refreshment with a creative twist. The combination of Lyre's Pink London with fresh fruits is both soothing and invigorating.

“ Quickest service I’ve ever gotten! Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Prices for food made sense considering it’s supposed to be tapas. Portions were on point in that regard and one person could order about 2-3 things with a drink and be good. Plenty of space, great for friends or date night. ”
“ Another great place to have a date, birthday, or after work party. Twenty-eighth floor of Hilton offers panoramic views of Columbus. Looking at their menu and fare, I would say they are Japanese and Korean fusion, both cuisines I like and am familiar. While it seems pricey, there are other Japanese restaurants that would charge more for the creative plates here. I would recommend any of the dishes I have posted photos. Place is definitely worth it with the novelty and quality of their food. Will definitely be back to try other offerings in their menu. ”
“ We have been here a few different times, with a new party each time, and we, along with everyone else, have always left impressed. The views from a rooftop bar in Columbus are unmatched. The service has always been great. The drinks are constantly changing, which brings a unique twist to what they offer. Foodwise, the pastrami fried wontons and wagyu sliders are amazing. ”
“ One of the best places I’ve been to! If you live in downtown Columbus and don’t mind spending a bit on drinks, this is the perfect spot to bring a date or a group of friends. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the amazing scenery! ”
“ Best views in Columbus! This was our 3rd time at Stories on High and each time we've been very impressed to get sat right away, as there is plenty of space. Drinks are on the pricier end but are crafted well and definitely reasonable due to the amazing views and atmosphere. ”
“ Wow , wow! This is my new favorite in town. Call and make reservations for your chance to drink and dine at a window seat. The views are spectacular! From the moment we arrived, Dan greeted us and showed us to our table. Very friendly and attention oriented. Our server Grace was top-notch! Her recommendations were amazing! There are so many choices on the menu. I think we tried all of them. It's definitely a 5 star plus! Can't wait to come back and bring our friends ! ”
“ My best friend and I do monthly dinner dates at restaurants around Columbus and Stories On High has been my favorite so far! Their dirty martini’s are perfection and the food was phenomenal. On top of that we had a fantastic view of Columbus. Our server Jimmy was also wonderful! We already have plans to return. If you’re looking for a chill spot to grab drinks light Asian inspired dishes this is the spot for you. ”
“ Overall a wonderful experience compared to spark. For starters, the hostess welcomed us in and asked us if we wanted a booth or a window seat. I suggest the window seats; the view of the city is wonderful. John was our waiter. He was very attentive brought us refills and checked on us multiple times. Was also very helpful with the menu. The manager went around to every table to check on everyone and make sure everything was okay. The atmosphere is dim lighting and more of a romantic feel. My only critique is the food. While it tastes wonderful, it's supposed to be like a tapas, so not fulfilling. ”
